With countless of trails to choose from, all nicely paved and sign posted, plenty of parking and a cafe… it makes the perfect place to enjoy nearby. As well as the nature trails it also has Go Ape, Bike Hire, Segway Hire, and shower and toilet facilities. A perfect day out! 🌲

If you want not only a stunning campervan holiday but a comfy driving experience, Maggie is absolutely your way to go. Why?

When commissioning Maggie to be converted, one thing we really wanted was a walk through from the cabin to the living space. We wanted it to have a flowing space and the convenience of access rather than having to exit the van just to drive it and get to the cabin. This walkthrough design is something we haven’t seen in another conversion for hire, and we believe it’s something unique to our camper.

What also was important, was the comfort in the driving experience. Let’s be honest, van seats aren’t all that comfy, and when you’re going on long drives the last thing you want is to get a stiff back! So in went these lovely seats. Those who have hired the camper have all noted not only how comfy it is, but how nicely the Crafter drives.

Recommended places we visited in Scotland:

📍 Stirling Castle
We stayed at Callander Woods Holiday Park which was a great campsite. Nice pitches (although most unlevel so you do need to likely bring levelling ramps!). It had immaculate showers and loos and even a washer and dryer to clean washing. Callander was a perfect little town to shop, eat and browse to pass time. It has all conveniences too. Stirling castle was a short drive away and a real joy to visit. We would again!

📍 Falls of Foyers, Loch Ness
Stunning waterfall a few minutes start of the trail. You can do as little or as much walking as you want. There’s so many waterfalls to see in Scotland that it can be hard to pick which ones - but this one should absolutely be on your list!

📍 Loch Ness
Goes without saying! We stayed at the Loch Ness Camping and Caravanning Club site. Lovely facilities as all C&CC sites.

📍 Glencoe
All we can say is, it would be crazy to go to Scotland and not go to Glencoe. It had us speechless!!! We stayed at a spot found on the Park4Night app (PH49 4HX). This gets filled up pretty quickly so you want to arrive here before 5pm.

She is officially named and we can’t wait to launch her. We hope to get her ready in time to be available to hire within the next 2 weeks. 🥳 🍾

📍 Keswick Camping and Caravanning Campsite Club: £52pn
We stayed on a stunning pitch with Derwernt Water right outside our window. A stunning campsite with views all around and only a few minutes walk from town and with options to hire paddleboards ect.

PROS:
• Stunning views
• Clean toilets and showers
• Shop
• 🐶 friendly
• All necessary campsite amenities

CONS:
• Potential flooding
• No vehicle entry/exit between 11pm-7am
• More ££ (but you get what you pay for!)

📍 Windermere
The following day we wondered around cosy Windermere and enjoyed the town. You can hire boats, experience various ferry tours on the lake, browse around cute shops, and enjoy yummy food.

📍 Low Wood Bay Spa: £60pp
The most romantic spa we’ve been to; with candle lights surrounding outside hot pools whilst enjoying cocktails and complimentary hot chocolate and fudge. There are many treatment rooms incl salt saunas, mud treatments, saunas, complimentary mini facials ect. Our most recommended place in the Lakes to visit on your own trip, and we look forward to going again!

📍 Keswick Town
The next day we shopped around Keswick and enjoyed the town, with plenty of clothing and gift shops, cute cafes and a great book shop, along with a superstore “Booths” for convenience, all in all its a great visit. We ate at a delicious coffee shop @nomonkeybusiness_keswick which had delicious food and gorgeous coffee.

⭐️ Overall a beautiful stay yet ran out of time to even enjoy some walks which we had planned to do. There are so many beautiful places to explore in the Lakes. We highly recommend taking the camper on a road trip here! We plan to again this year and allow much more time than just 3 nights. You can see more of our trip on our Highlights ⭐️

We’ve both felt that you definitely need to come back plenty of times to explore all there is in the lakes. This is our second time yet there’s still so much to explore. So many beautiful little roads that lead you to unexpected gems.
